This Advanced Wildlife Treatment Course is designed to give veterinary professionals an in-depth knowledge of the modern approaches to mammalian and avian wildlife treatment options after first aid and stabilisation have been achieved.

Your excellent instructors for the weekend are Dr. Vicki Baldrey - BSc(Hons) BVSc DZooMed(Avian) FHEA MRCVS Lecturer in Exotic Species and Small Mammal Medicine and Surgery, and Mark Naguib - BVMS(Hons) CertAVP(ZooMed) MRCVS, RCVS Advanced Practitioner in Zoological Medicine. 

This course has been accredited by the Veterinary Council of Ireland

Cancellation policy

WRI Event Cancellation Policy

1.) If a registrant is unable to attend the course for any reason they may substitute, by arrangement with the registrar, another person who is interested in attending.

2.) Where a registrant is unable to attend, and is not in a position to transfer his/her place to another person, then the following refund policy will apply: 

a. Registrations cancelled in writing with more than 30 days notice before the course will be issued with a voucher to the full value paid, which can be redeemed on any of our subsequent courses, conferences or events. 

b. Registrations cancelled in writing between 7 and 30 days notice before the course will be issued with a voucher to the value of 50% of the registration fee paid, which can be redeemed on any of our subsequent courses, conferences or events. 


c. Registrations cancelled in writing with less than 7 days notice before the course will be issued with a voucher to the value of 25% of the registration fee paid, which can be redeemed on any of our subsequent courses, conferences or events. 

d. If a registrant cannot attend or has to leave the course at any point once it has begun, they will not be eligible for a refund or a voucher.

In the unlikely event that the course is cancelled, a full refund will be issued to the registrant.

Refunds will be made in the following way: 

1.) For payments received by paypal, the same account will be credited. 

2.) For payments received by bank draft, cheque or postal order, a cheque will be sent payable to the original payee.

Dr. Vicki Baldrey
BSc(Hons) BVSc DZooMed(Avian) FHEA MRCVS Lecturer in Exotic Species and Small Mammal Medicine and Surgery

Vicki qualified from Liverpool Vet School in 2005 and has since worked in first opinion and referral exotics practices in the UK and overseas. She obtained the RCVS Diploma in Zoological Medicine in 2014 and became an RCVS Recognised Specialist in Zoo and Wildlife Medicine in 2016. She compeleted a Post Graduate Certificate in Veterinary Education at the RVC in 2019. Vicki joined the RVC Exotics team in 2016 as an Exotics lecturer and clinician at the Beaumont Sainsbury Animal Hospital in Camden.

Mark graduated from the University of Glasgow in 2009 and has spent most of his career working with exotic pets, wildlife and zoo species. He is based at Battle Flatts Veterinary Clinic in North Yorkshire where he sees a busy caseload of both first opinion and referral cases in practice and provides veterinary services for a number of zoological collections and to a local wildlife rehabilitation centre. He regularly treats a wide range of native wildlife and has a particular interest in avian medicine and birds of prey. Mark holds the RCVS certificate in Zoological Medicine and is an Advanced Practitioner in Zoological Medicine.
